Steps:

  1. First, use a spoon or a spatula to scoop up the excess hardened wax on your tablecloth. Scoop it with a bit of pressure but carefully to make sure the fabric of your tablecloth is not being damaged.
  2. Then, place the tablecloth on an ironing board before placing a plain paper sack over the wax stain. Set your iron to warm setting, avoiding the hot setting before applying it to the paper. Replace the wax-saturated paper bag when needed. Repeat these steps until there is no longer wax transferring to the brown paper.
  3. Take a prewash stain remover to treat the colored candle stains or use detergent directly on the spot before washing it. You have to make sure making a pretest spot removers and stain removers in different area before treating the stains.
  4. Next, bring the tablecloth with detergent to the laundry in the hottest water setting, which is safe for the fabric. Wax- based stains must be melted so that it can be removed easily to the fabric fibers. Before placing the tablecloth into the dryer, make sure that the stain is completely removed. Wash and wash again if you are not sure whether the stain has been removed.
